PLANITT – FULL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Definitions

“Company” refers to Planitt.
“Customer” refers to the person or business placing an order with the Company.
“Goods” refers to all kitchens, cabinetry, appliances, worktops and related products supplied by the Company.
“Services” refers to installation, design, preparation works and any other services provided.
“Order Confirmation” refers to the final signed document confirming measurements, design, specification and quantities.

2. Quotation & Acceptance

2.1. All quotations issued by the Company are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
2.2. An order is deemed accepted only when the Customer pays the 20% non-refundable deposit.
2.3. Acceptance of the quotation constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

3. Payments

3.1 Supply-Only Orders

  • 20% non-refundable deposit on order.

  • Remaining balance due 5 weeks prior to delivery.

3.2 Supply & Install (Planitt Installation) – Stage Payments

Where the Company provides installation services, the payment structure is:

  1. 20% deposit (non-refundable) at order.

  2. Supply balance due 5 weeks prior to delivery.

  3. Installation payment due on commencement of installation.

  4. £2,000 retainer held until practical completion.

  5. Retainer payable within 5 days of practical completion.

3.3. Snagging items do not constitute grounds for withholding or delaying final payment.

3.4. All goods remain the property of the Company until paid for in full.

3.5. Finance options may be available on request. Any finance agreements are subject to third-party approval and separate terms.

4. Design, Surveys & Specification

4.1. Initial designs, plans and visuals are indicative only and may change following a technical survey.

4.2. A final survey is carried out once the Customer confirms their intent to proceed.
4.3. The Order Confirmation Form issued after the final survey defines:

  • final design

  • final specification

  • final quantities

  • final measurements

4.4. No amendments may be made after Order Confirmation without written approval.
Additional charges may apply.

4.5. If the property is altered after the final survey without notifying the Company, the Company is not responsible for incorrect fits, remedial works, delays, or associated costs.

5. Delivery

5.1. Delivery dates are provided as estimates, not guarantees.
5.2. Delays may occur due to manufacturing, transport or supplier issues outside the Company’s control.
5.3. The Customer must ensure someone is available to receive the Goods.
5.4. Risk in the Goods passes to the Customer upon delivery.

6. Installation Services

6.1. The Company uses trusted subcontractors to carry out installation work.
6.2. Where the Customer chooses to use their own installer, the Company’s responsibility ends at delivery.
6.3. The Customer must ensure:

  • access to the property

  • parking for the installation team

  • water, electricity and other utilities are available

  • the site is clean, safe and ready

6.4. If the site is not ready:

  • the installation will be rescheduled to the next available slot

  • the Company may charge for lost time, aborted delivery, labour or rebooking costs

  • A minimum 5 weeks’ notice is required to avoid charges, due to pre-booked 2-week installation windows

6.5. The Company is not responsible for delays caused by third-party trades arranged by the Customer.

7. Preparation Works (Rip-Out, Electrics, Plumbing, Plastering, Flooring, Decorating)

7.1. Prep works are treated as separate additional works, quoted independently.
7.2. Existing property issues (e.g., rotten joists, hidden pipework, uneven walls, poor plaster) are outside the Company’s control.
7.3. Unforeseen issues discovered during works may result in:

  • delays

  • additional labour or materials

  • revised quotations

7.4. The Company is not liable for pre-existing structural, electrical or plumbing defects.

8. Worktops

8.1. Solid surface worktops require templating after base units are fully installed.
8.2. Installation typically takes place 5–10 working days after templating but may vary.
8.3. Once templating is completed, no further changes to base units or layout may be made.
8.4. Delays caused by access, Customer changes or readiness are not the Company’s responsibility.

9. Snagging

9.1. The Customer must report snagging items within 14 days of practical completion.
9.2. The Company will address valid snags within a reasonable timeframe, subject to trade availability and material lead times.
9.3. Snagging does not prevent a kitchen from being considered complete for payment purposes.

10. Warranty

10.1. The Company provides a 5-year guarantee on all kitchen furniture supplied.
10.2. Installation workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months when fitted by the Company’s subcontractors.
10.3. Manufacturer warranties on appliances or specialist products are passed directly to the Customer.
10.4. Warranty exclusions:

  • wear and tear

  • misuse or neglect

  • swelling caused by moisture or leaks

  • third-party installation

  • modifications not carried out by the Company

  • damage resulting from existing building issues

10.5. The Company’s warranty is void if final payment has not been made in full.

11. Cancellation

11.1. The 20% deposit is non-refundable.
11.2. If the Customer cancels after Order Confirmation:

  • costs for design time

  • administrative work

  • already-ordered goods

  • restocking fees (where applicable)
    may be deducted from refunds or invoiced.

11.3. If manufacturing has commenced, the Customer may be liable for full material costs.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1. The Company is responsible for accurate measurements unless the Customer alters the site after survey or supplies incorrect information.
12.2. The Company is not liable for:

  • delays caused by third parties

  • consequential losses

  • additional costs resulting from structural or hidden defects

  • delays due to suppliers or industry shortages

12.3. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Complaints

13.1. The Company aims to resolve all issues quickly and professionally.
13.2. Complaints must be made in writing to the Company’s email address.
13.3. The Company will acknowledge complaints within 5 working days.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
Any disputes shall be dealt with under the exclusive jurisdiction of UK courts.
